I’ve learned a lot this week from just stepping back and listening, but one thing I keep coming back to in my mind is that parents, we have the opportunity and obligation to do better. Raise kind, anti-racist humans. Start now. Teach them now. 💛

I know I don’t have anything different or particularly poignant to bring to the conversation, but it’s not about me. I like to think that my little squares on social media are a place people can come to to find positivity always. So let’s LIFT UP and bring attention to all of our favorite BIPOC owned small businesses, artists, authors, mothers. Share in the comments please. It’s #MenstrualHygieneDay ! It’s a day created to break the taboo surrounding menstruation and to raise awareness of the importance of good menstrual hygiene. Periods are normal. Periods don’t stop for pandemics. Access to menstrual care products shouldn’t be a privilege but a human right. 💪🏼

Just a reminder, you are allowed to be however you need to be in this moment. Be easy on yourself and others. 💛 I’ve been feeling a lot of “should” and “ought to” these days. I have to remind myself that every day doesn’t have to be productive. I don’t have to check off everything on my to do list. Restful days are important days too ✨

We may not be able to take our own shopping bags to the grocery store, but I’ve been really encouraged to see the sustainable changes y’all have been making during this time we are all spending at home. 💛 Look at this stash of goodies someone ordered today for example. Someone is trying out plastic free dish soap and using unpaper towels! Maybe it’s the first time they’ve used plastic free shampoo? Also, I can’t wait for them to see how insanely soft the cloth facial rounds are 💯 What’s one thing you’ve been working on to live more sustainably in the last few weeks?

We love using our Savon de Marseille dish soap block for washing dishes. After using the block for months and months, we end up with tiny leftover soap bits. I always save those pieces up to make liquid dish soap. It’s super easy to make. Check out my Insta Stories to see how!
